From the author

When I initially decided to take on a  lifelong dream of writing  my first novel, the intent was to write a relatable book on life  after divorce. It was meant to be entertaining in a very relatable way for both men and women. The book would be based on different scenarios that I’ve heard from other women, from content I heard and read about online and those of my own life experiences after divorce. Its intent was to be a daring, delightful and transformative book.

As I started to draft the characters, scenarios and dialogue, I found that writing the book began  providing a way of coping with my own divorce, betrayal, loss of self and loss of belonging.

Little did I know that it would help with my
own healing and finding true love along the way. 

As I continued writing , I started realizing I was able to heal my own past by going back and rewriting the endings of some  painful memories. The book was deliberately made into a light,  fun, endearing and heartfelt story to allow readers to read the book through an evolved lens.

After numerous trials and tribulations, heartache and loss, the main character Sofia was the epitome of going from victim to victor mentality. She was able to overcome what life threw at her and learned to have a true sense of self along her path.

Sofia  embodies everyone who has ever loved and lost, struggled with self esteem and self worth, went on a journey of self reflection and returned a more enlightened soul. Her story shows us firsthand that we aren’t alone in our own struggles,and that there is light, hope and love at the end of a long tunnel.
